Stapleford Pavilion

Stapleford Pavilion required a lighting solution that could match the quality and performance of the originally specified provider while reducing overall project cost. Intulux was brought in to deliver an equal-standard alternative, one that protected design intent, maintained compliance, and offered efficiencies where they mattered most.

Where many projects present a choice between quality and cost, our role was to ensure the client didn’t have to compromise.

The Brief

  • Provide a like-for-like alternative to the originally specified luminaires.

  • Reduce the overall cost of the lighting and controls package.

  • Deliver a compliant, easy-to-install solution suitable for a community pavilion.

Our Approach

We began by reviewing the original specification in detail, identifying opportunities to introduce equivalent-performance fittings that met the same lighting standards and visual requirements, at a more cost-effective price point.

Alongside the luminaires, the control system presented another opportunity for value engineering. Instead of a traditional wired control solution requiring additional cabling, we proposed a full Casambi wireless control system. This approach removed the need for extra control cores to switches and fittings, simplifying installation and reducing labour time.

The Casambi platform also provided flexible control, scene setting, and long-term ease of use for the client, without adding complexity to the electrical installation.

The Outcome

The final solution delivered:

  • Matched performance to the original specification.

  • Meaningful cost savings across lighting and controls.

  • A fully wireless Casambi system, reducing cabling, installation time, and onsite disruption.

  • Full compliance with project requirements.

  • Smooth, efficient delivery from specification to commissioning.

Why It Matters

Community projects often operate within tight budgets, and changes late in the process can put pressure on both timelines and costs.

Stapleford Pavilion demonstrates how a thoughtful, engineered approach can protect quality while improving efficiency, ensuring the end user receives a solution that works financially and operationally.
